The friend comes across as a kind and caring person, obviously idealised by the main character.
They take shape within the dream world for a moment of hope before disintegrating into nothingness.

The main character of this story is a lonely withdrawn individual who just misses the company of their friend.
Whether it be from too much time spent on their phone or anxiety, they descend into a world of fear and nightmares.
Main Character
The characters each have a rather simple design with bright colours to help with the transition into stop motion. I was largely inspired by the bright character puppets in both 'Sesame Street' and 'The Muppets'.
The shadows have no tangible form and can change and shift as they please - just like real nightmares!
